दिवाली एक संस्कृत शब्द है. इसका अर्थ है रोशनी की पंक्तियाँ। साल का सबसे बड़ा त्योहार दिवाली/ लक्ष्मी पूजन/ दिवाली कार्तिक माह की अमावस्या को मनाया जाता है।
दिवाली का त्यौहार अज्ञान (अंधकार) पर ज्ञान (प्रकाश) की जीत का प्रतीक है।
धनतेरस के अगले दिन नरक चतुर्दशी को लक्ष्मी पूजन होता है। इस दिन सूर्य अपनी द्वितीय अवस्था में प्रवेश करता है| पिठोरी अमावस्या, दीप अमावस्या, पितृ अमावस्या के साथ-साथ लक्ष्मी पूजा वर्ष की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण अमावस्या है। अमावस्या होने पर भी यह दिन वर्ष का सबसे शुभ दिन माना जाता है।
इस दिन देवी लक्ष्मी पृथ्वी पर ब्रह्मण करती हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि देवी समृद्धि और खुशहाली का आशीर्वाद देने आती हैं। इसलिए इस दिन माता लक्ष्मी और भगवान गणपति की पूजा की जाती है।
14 वर्ष के वनवास के बाद लंकापति रावण का वध करके भगवान श्री राम देवी सीता और भाई लक्ष्मण के साथ अयोध्या लौट आये। वह दिन दिवाली का दिन है | दशहरे के दिन ही भगवान राम ने राम का वध किया था| जब भगवान श्री राम अयोध्या लौटे। उस समय उनके स्वागत के लिए हर घर और नगर को सजाया गया था। घर-घर दीप मिट्टी के दीपक लगाए गए। इसलिए आज भी हम हर घर, दरवाजे, कार्यालय आदि में दीपक जलाकर सत्य की जीत का जश्न मनाते हैं।
दिवाली के दिन कई साधु-महात्माओं ने समाधि ली थी। और अपने नश्वर शरीर का त्याग कर दिया था। इन महान संतों में भगवान कृष्ण और भगवान महावीर शामिल हैं।
इस वर्ष लक्ष्मी पूजन 12 नोव्हेंबर रविवार को मनाया जाएगा।
लक्ष्मी पूजन शुभ समय: शाम 05:39 बजे से रात 08:16 बजे तक
पूजा की अवधि: 1 घंटा 56 मिनट
हमें क्रोध, ईर्ष्या, भय जैसी नकारात्मक भावनाओं का भी त्याग करना चाहिए।
ऐसी नकारात्मक भावनाओं को पटाखे फोड़कर नष्ट कर देना चाहिए।
रिश्तों को दिवाली के लड्डुओं की तरह मधुर बनाना चाहिए.
जीवन में ज्ञान का दीपक जलाना चाहिए। प्रेम को हृदय में रोपना चाहिए।
हमें एक-दूसरे के साथ समय बिताना चाहिए।’
